Wildfire Prevention and Resilience
The City of Orinda is in a very high risk fire severity zone and approved a sales tax to increase prevention and preparedness for wildfire.
Helped establish an inaugural commission to use this revenue to create strategies, programs, and campaigns that will protect lives and homes in our community. Worked closely with City Council and staff, Moraga Orinda Fire Department, and citizens to prepare and harden properties against wildfire.
Results
Advised on awareness campaigns resulting in:
Over 32,000 registrations to local and county warning systms
Removal of 10,000 cubic yards of flammable vegetation near homes, the equivalent of a 40 foot high pile of vegetation across the three acre base of El Capitan
Increased resilience of over 200 homes through cost matching program to help residents meet fire district requirements
Over 1,000 homes participating in Firewise to make their neighborhoods more fire safe
Developed long and short term priorities, based on best practices in similar communities, to make Orinda safer from wildfire

Supporting Survivors of Sexual Assault
Callisto envisions a world where sexual assault is rare and survivors are supported.
To raise awareness of Callisto, Impactful developed a market-informed communications plan for the academic year, led by student and faculty input paired with data about critical times of the year when sexual assault increases.
Results
Identified key messages by conducting interviews and focus groups with students and critical staff including residence life, student health, Title IX, Greek life and others
Developed communications plan and content to keep Callisto in front of students and staff at critical points during the academic year
Developed high engagement strategy to test and refine outreach programs and recruited initial campuses

Creating Safe and Respectful Workplaces
LaborLink, by Elevate, gives factory workers in emerging countries a voice to help organizations increase productivity, improve retention and keep employees safe and healthy.
To build awareness of LaborLink among corporate buyers, ensure deployment in factories and increase usage by employees, Impactful created messaging and positioning for each target audience.
